I Like(d) America and America Like(d) Me
Joseph Beuys was an obvious influence on this piece. Once I saw the stripe material, I could not see past the lack of warmth it would provide, unlike the heavy felt, that was a barrier between Beuys and the Coyote. A level of protection. This plastic material may mask my face, but there is a lack of protection within this veil.
It is difficult to see the stars through all the haze and detritus we experience each day. It is more important than ever to lift each other up.
